چکیده
The objective of this study was to investigate the metabolic activity gut microbiota in cirrhosis due different variants fatty liver disease (alcoholic vs. non-alcoholic [metabolic-associated] one [AFLD and MAFLD]). present included 24 patients with alcoholic cirrhosis, 16 MAFLD-related 20 healthy controls. level spectrum short-chain acids (SCFAs) were determined via gas–liquid chromatography. All showed a decrease total content SCFAs (p < 0.001) absolute acetate 0.001), propionate butyrate isovalerate 0.001). In MAFLD significantly altered compared as evidenced by lower SCFA 0.001); higher relative IsoCn/Cn ratio Various clinical laboratory parameters correlate differently fecal their fractions AFLD MAFLD. SCFA-producing is reduced more than cirrhosis. According etiological factors disorders may be involved pathogenetic pathways.

background: omega-3 fatty acids have established beneficial effects for cardiovascular disease. the use of omega-3 supplements for patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (nafld) was proposed. the purpose of this study was to review the relationship between omega-3 fatty acids intake and nafld. methods: in this study, the terms such as nafld, omega-3 fatty acids, docosahexanoic acid, an...
متن کاملNon-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease
Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease describes a range of conditions caused by a build-up of fat within liver cells. It is very common and in many cases is linked to being obese or overweight. Most people with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease do not develop serious liver problems. In some people, the build-up of fat in the liver can lead to serious liver disease. However, all people with non-alco...

Results: The term “non-alcoholic fatty liver disease” covers cases of a wide spectrum of severity, ranging from bland fatty liver without any inflammation and with little or no tendency to progress all the way to non-alcoholic steato hepatitis (NASH) with inflammatory reactions and hepatocyte damage, with or without fibrosis. Some 5% to 20% of patients with NAFLD develop NASH, which undergoes a...
